The German school award 2006. A competition of the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Heidehof Stiftung in cooperation with stern and ZDF. Giving wings to education. That's what the school award is for. It awards a prize to excellent schools in Germany and supports the dissemination of good practice. The tendering addresses all general-education schools in Germany. The relevant questions are: Does the school make the best of its possibilities? Does the school encourage performance and creativity? Are independent and practice-oriented studies possible? Does the school handle differences in ability, social background and interest in a proliferous way? Does the school teach fairness, democracy and responsibility? How professional is the internal and external cooperation? Does the school work out a distinctive profile and quality management? The school of the year receives 50,000.00 Euro. The following four schools receive compliment awards of 10,000.00 Euro each. The award ceremony takes place during a commemorative event in Berlin.
